In The Seven Crystal Balls (1948), seven scientists are mysteriously struck with lethargy on their return from an expedition to the Andes. When Professor Calculus goes missing, Tintin and the Captain set out to find him. Created in 1929 by one Georges Remi, who was already signing his drawings with the name Hergé, Tintin would go on to enjoy twenty-three adventures whose success with readers young and old has never wavered to this day.
