The adventures of Tintin and Snowy offer us countless images of the world.
A reflection of their time and a mirror of the twentieth century, they are so many living, animated witnesses to the life of the famous young reporter in the land of fiction. Hergé, the creator of this globally successful series, treats us to snapshots on the most varied themes.
But the main driving force behind this great fresco of speech bubbles and panels is action.
On land, at sea, underwater or in the air, Tintin is everywhere.
He climbs, swims, scales peaks, jumps with a parachute and rides horses.
In a diving suit or in a bicycle saddle, our hero is always in his element.
Thomson and Thompson, Professor Calculus and General Alcazar are not to be outdone.
These physical activities, so useful in driving the story forward, are now an integral part of our leisure civilisation, leisure in action.
