Inspired by the racing success of the 300 SL (W194) in competition since 1952, the famous Austrian-American automobile dealer Max Hoffman succeeded in convincing Daimler-Benz executives to produce a production version of this iconic car. Thus, the 300 SL was presented at the New York Auto Show in February 1954. The 300 SL (W198) stands out for its innovative design, notably its tubular chassis, both rigid and lightweight, weighing only 50 kg. This car is one of the first GT (Grand Touring) models and ranks among the fastest vehicles of its time, capable of reaching a speed of 250 km/h. With its elegant and legendary design, the 300 SL (W198) is recognizable by its "Butterfly" or "Gullwing" doors, a feature faithfully reproduced on our scale model. These iconic doors are functional and can be opened. Scale: 1/43 Material: Metal (Zamak) From age 3
