This figurine represents Erasmus Mulligan, the owner of the "Western Circus." The 55th volume of the Lucky Luke saga by Goscinny and Morris takes the name of the circus as its album title. Pre-published in 1969 in the journal Pilote and then published in 1970 by Dargaud, this album is filled with all kinds of gags. The story features a rivalry between different shows. On one side, the annual grand rodeo organized by Zilch. On the other, the Western Circus, a new arrival. To put an end to this competition, which he deems harmful, Zilch hires Rattlesnake Joe, a hitman, to stop it. As usual, Lucky Luke gets involved in this conflict. Within the Western Circus, there are several performers, including Vanessa Mulligan, Erasmus's wife, who specializes as a trapeze artist, and their daughter Daphne, who is a knife thrower.
