The Blue Lotus (or The Adventures of Tintin, Reporter, in the Far East) is the fifth album in the comic-book series The Adventures of Tintin and Snowy, serialised in black and white from 9 August 1934 to 17 October 1935 in the pages of Le Petit Vingtieme, the supplement of the newspaper Le Vingtieme Siecle. The colour version we know today came out in 1946. The Blue Lotus ranks 18th among the 100 best books of the twentieth century.
