Nobody really knows what kind of creature Rockleton is, or where he comes from. Even he has rather hazy memories. For years, he simply contented himself with being there, perfectly still, paying attention only to the rumblings from deep within the earth.
And then, one day, he simply... woke up. He discovered that he had eyes, and even stone legs, perfect for setting off to explore the world. Ever since, his days have been delightfully simple: walking, watching and savouring the scenery, come rain or shine (both, by the way, work wonders for keeping his moss nice and green, just the way he likes it).
Which just goes to show that even those who seem never to change can go through a metamorphosis of their own.
