This magnificent figurine, part of the Imaginary Museum of Tintin collection, will delight you. The Civa statuette comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity. Who is Shiva? He is generally depicted either immersed in deep meditation or, as seen in Cigars of the Pharaoh (p. 50), dancing as Nataraja. Shiva means in Sanskrit “the good, the one who brings good fortune.” In Hindu practice, Shiva, who belongs to the Vedic pantheon, is regarded differently depending on the tradition: according to the Shaiva tradition, Shiva is considered the supreme God, and according to the Smarta tradition he is seen as one of the five primary forms of God.
