The peacock is, without a doubt, the most distinguished resident of the farm. Head held high, he crosses the yard with a majestic stride. He knows perfectly well just how beautiful he is. He stretches out his long neck as far as it will go and shows off the pretty crown-like crest atop his little head. And now he fans out a magnificent tail of long feathers in shimmering blue, green and gold. The hens can hardly believe their eyes, for their rooster could never do the same! The peacock hails from India, but he feels right at home with Farmer Paul too, as long as he has plenty of room to strut about.
