At the start of The Castafiore Emerald (plate 2, panel A3), Tintin takes a stroll through the woods of Marlinspike with Captain Haddock. For the occasion, he has swapped his iconic trench coat for a zipped jacket. With its full zip fastening and its wide elastic bands at the waist and cuffs, this brown coat is indeed far better suited to such a laid-back outing.
Modelled on the main characters from The Adventures of Tintin, these 12cm figurines are crafted faithful to every detail of Hergé's drawings. These fine resin pieces are hand-painted.
