The Porsche 911 Carrera RS is a byword for superlatives. In its day it was the fastest German production car and the first to feature a factory-fitted front and rear spoiler. It is this rear spoiler that earned it the nickname "duck-tail". Originally conceived as a homologation car to be built in 500 units, Porsche was taken aback by its own success and eventually sold 1,580 vehicles, including 1,308 of the Touring version shown here.
